Winston-Salem New Wellness Program for Black Woman - The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gave the Department of Human Performance and Sport Sciences at Winston-Salem State University a $200,000 grant to support studies to improve obesity outcomes in African-American women ages 30 to 65. Tuskegee University President Resigns - Dr. Gilbert L. Rochon is the latest president to resign from his post at an HBCU. Rochon recently announced his retirement effective immediately at a Tuskegee University Board of Trustees' fall meeting. Dr. Matthew Jenkins was appointed in the role of acting president.
