Suspect in Howard University Student Murder Says it Was an “Accident”

Rasdavid Lagarde, the man charged with the July 4 murder of former HU student Omar Sykes, said that that the gun accidentally fired during a tussle, according to court papers. Lagarde told the police that he and a friend where “drunk and down on their luck” when they decided to rob Sykes.  He was ordered to remain in jail until trial.
