Disparities in Police Activity

Roughly 12 percent of the United States population is Black, yet in 2011 Blacks represented an unprecedented percentage of those arrested for violent crimes and property offenses. Even more shocking, Black juveniles accounted for 16 percent of all children in America, but make up 28 percent of juvenile arrests.
