Former New Orleans Mayor Calls for Action to Help Ailing HBCUs

With lower endowments, lower than average tuition fees, fundraising challenges and more, HBCUs have been hit especially hard by the economic downturn, according to Marc H. Morial, former mayor of New Orleans and president and CEO of the National Urban League. Morial penned an article in the Atlanta Daily World on Nov. 4 to bring awareness to the state of HBCUs like Grambling State and Howard University.
