Devyn Miles Makes Tennessee State Drumline History

Meet Devyn Miles, Tennessee State’s first female drum major in 20 years. The ambitious junior computer science major broke sexist barriers becoming the only female drum major on the Tennessee State University 221-member Aristocrats of Bands marching band. “I am glad I didn’t just think about wanting to be a drum major. I saw the opportunity and I went for it,” Miles said.
