Zimmerman’s Request for a Delay Is Denied

A judge in Florida refused to grant George Zimmerman’s request for a five-month delay in the trial in the death of Trayvon Martin. As a result, the trial would continue as scheduled, to begin in June. The decision, in February, came on what would have been Trayvon’s 18th birthday. (Photo: Joe Burbank-Pool/Getty Images)
