Charges Dropped Against FAMU Hazing Defendant

Florida prosecutors dropped the manslaughter and hazing charges against Henry Nesbitt in the 2011 hazing death of Robert Champion. Nesbitt called 911 after Champion was beaten to death and prosecutors did not have enough evidence to move forward. Nesbitt remains on the state’s witness list to potentially testify at the trial of the remaining defendants, White said.
