Ship Named After US Navy Adm. Zumwalt

The U.S. Navy christened a 610-foot-long warship on Saturday after Adm. Elmo “Bud” Zumwalt. As the chief of naval operations in the 1970s, Zumwalt hired the first female and African-American officers to admirals giving them opportunity to serve in the higher ranks. (Photo: Joel Page/AP Photo)
