America More Accepting of Interracial Marriages

On Monday, a new Gallup poll reported that 86% of Americans approve of Black-white unions, in comparison to only four percent in 1958. When Gallup first questioned Black and white marriages in 1958, only four percent of Americans overall approved. It wasn’t until 1997 that approval exceeded the majority level.
