Louisiana Town Banishes Confederate Flag

After 60 years, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, removed the Confederate flag flying from atop the Caddo Parish courthouse on Nov. 4. The American Civil Liberties Union had argued that the racist banner prevented the death penalty from being administered fairly because it insinuated to white jurors that Black defendants were less-than-equal.
