When he proposed controversial terms to negotiate land agreement between the two parties he startled many pro-Israel supporters. Former Maryland Official Pleads Guilty to Corruption - Jack B. Johnson, former county executive of Maryland’s Prince George’s County, home to one of the nation’s wealthiest Black majorities, pleaded guilty to federal felony counts of bribery, extortion and witness- and evidence-tampering on Tuesday. Johnson and his wife, Leslie, a county council member, were arrested after an FBI raid on their home last November. An FBI wiretap on Johnson’s phone recorded him instructing his wife to flush a $100,000 check from a developer down the toilet and to hide $80,000 in cash in her underwear.
