KKK Group Denied “Adopt-A-Highway” Application
On Tuesday, the state of Georgia denied a Ku Klux Klan group’s application to adopt a stretch of highway along the Appalachian Mountains as part of the state’s "Adopt-A-Highway" program for litter removal, adding that the program is aimed at "civic-minded organizations in good standing," the Associated Press reported. The KKK group is expected to challenge the decision.
