Thousands March in New York City to End Stop-and-Frisk
A crowd of demonstrators descended on the Upper East Side neighborhood of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Sunday in a silent protest of the city’s controversial stop-and-frisk policy, which many criticize for targeting young Black and Latino men. Bloomberg recently said he planned to scale back the policy, but also defended it last Sunday for its proven results in reducing crime.
