Gap Pulls “Manifest Destiny” T-Shirt
The controversial "Manifest Destiny" shirt was pulled from Gap stores after many Native American groups were angered by its insensitive reference to the Western expansion among white American settlers. It resulted in the acquisition of several Western states, but also the mass murder and destruction of Native Americans.
