Black Colleges Show Increase in Graduation Rates

Historically Black colleges and universities have shown a sharp increase in graduation rates compared to past data, according to a report by the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education. At Jackson State University, graduation rates increased by 17 percent since 1968. Howard University’s graduation rate is now 64 percent, compared with 47 percent in 1998.
