Chicago Police Turn to Twitter to Battle Crime

The Chicago police department wants citizens to turn their cellphones into crime-fighting tools. A new community policing program will allow residents to send anonymous tips to help officers find suspects. The department will use Twitter to share information such as community alerts and missing persons’ reports with residents.
