Florida House Speaker Agrees to Hearings on Stand Your Ground

Florida House Speaker Will Weatherford announced that he will order hearings this fall on Florida’s “stand your ground” law. But Weatherford assigned the task of chairing the hearings to Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who is a staunch supporter of the law. “I don’t support changing one damn comma of the stand your ground law,” Gaetz said on Friday. (Photo: Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
