College Honors First Black Graduate

The College of Charleston has honored the institution’s first Black graduate, Eddie Ganaway, by renaming its diversity center after him. Ganaway, who died in January, graduated from Charleston in 1971 and was part of pushing diversity efforts at the college. The Eddie Ganaway Diversity Education and Resource Center opened in 2010. (Photo: Courtesy of The College of Charleston)
