L.A. Jury Awards $1.1 Million to Black Firefighter

A Los Angeles court has awarded firefighter Jabari Jumaane $1.1 million in a racial discrimination case against the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Jumaane said he underwent serious discipline and suspensions after his supervisor made false claims about his behavior on performance evaluations. Jumaane spent 27 years with the department.
