Woman Receives $100K in Settlement From NYPD

The NYPD had to cough up $100,000 to Tashmaya Gay, whose mother Denise Gay was killed by officers in Brooklyn in September 2011. Gay was in the center of crossfire between officers and criminal Leroy Webster. The bullet did not come from Webster, the NYPD confirmed, but the department did not want to take responsibility. (Photo by Andrew Burton/Getty Images)
