Man Released in Error, Sent Back to Prison for Life

Rene Lima-Marin of Aurora, Colorado, served 10 years in prison for multiple robbery, kidnapping and burglary charges and was released in 2008. He started a family and bought a house. He was living a happy life until a judge sent him back to finish a 98-year sentence. “I don’t deserve 98 years. I deserve the time that I did,” he said in a recent interview.
