Drivers Less Likely to Stop for Black Pedestrians Than White

Crossing the street while Black means you have to look twice. Drivers are less willing to stop for African-American pedestrians than white pedestrians, according to a study by the Portland State University-based Oregon Transportation Research. Blacks waited 32 percent longer to cross than whites.
