Family of Kendrick Johnson Files Lawsuit - San Francisco police are investigating an incident caught on tape, in which an officer tipped a man in a wheelchair, plus more national news. — Natelege Whaley (@Natelege_) The family of Kendrick Johnson has filed a lawsuit against 38 defendants, including Johnson's classmates, local authorities, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Valdosta Police Department, according to CBS News. Officer Tips Man Out of Wheelchair in San Francisco - San Francisco police are investigating an incident caught on tape, in which an officer tipped a man in a wheelchair over, according to SFGate. On 4 p.m. Sunday, four officers were monitoring an area and were responding to an argument and alleged possession of open alcoholic beverage issue. Man Arrested for Attacking Another Man Carrying Legal Weapon - Michael Foster, 43, a white man, was arrested and charged with battery for tackling Clarence Daniels, 65, a Black man who was carrying a weapon in his holster at a Walmart in Brandon, Florida, WTSP reports. Former Chicago Police Officer Freed From Prison - Howard Morgan, a former Chicago police officer, was freed from jail and his 40-year prison sentence was commuted last week by outgoing Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn. In 2005, he was stopped by three officers and was shot 28 times, according to MSNBC. Morgan says the officers were being belligerent. Three officers were wounded in the shootout.
