Posted Nov. 8, 2007 – Neighbors say they heard yells and screams, called police and child protective services on several occasions, but no one ever came to the aid of the Rev. Reginald Samuel’s 15-year-old stepson.

But that all changed Tuesday when Shreveport, La., Police officers showed up and removed the boy, whose name is being withheld because of his age. They also took away the boy’s mother, Melesa Samuel, 33, along with her husband, the 43-year-old pastor of Present Day Ministry – both in handcuffs.
A woman who lives across the street from the boy and his parents, who did not want her identity revealed, told News 12 in Shreveport that she made the 911 call to police after the boy told her he had jumped from a bathroom window to escape the abuse.
"He told me that his father had locked him up in a storage room, tied him up and beat him, and constantly hit him in his groin," the neighbor said. He had welts all over his body, his ear was bloodied, lips bruised, feet swollen, and he walked with a limp, she said.
Watch the video to see what else the boy told his neighbor. Then talk about it!
