Posted June 2, 2008 - BET selects comedian D.L. Hughley to host the '08 BET Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. The network also confirms that Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Chris Brown will join Lil' Wayne, Nelly and Usher live on stage June 24.

Leading the pack of this year’s nominees is singer T-Pain. All of his nods are results of collaborations with artists such as Chris Brown, Kanye West and Flo Rida.

Other artists with multiple nominations include West and Keyshia Cole who are each up for three BET Awards. Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Flo Rida each received two nods.

Raheem DeVaughn and British R&B newcomer Estelle will also be vying for BET Stars when the awards are presented at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium.

Usher, Lil Wayne and Mary J. Blige are all expected to perform on the live broadcast in June.
