Bishop Jakes Bishop T.D. Jakes, pastor of Dallas’ The Potter House church, said that if he hadn’t canceled a recent meeting at the last minute, he wouldn’t be a live today.

Jakes, who has one of the largest churches in the United States, told his congregation on Sunday that an explosion erupted in the sunroom of his Fort Worth home last week – and he would have been getting dressed there had he not made a sudden decision not to attend.

No one was injured in the blast, which was ruled accidental.

The explosion has made life “inconvenient,” he it’s good to be alive, Jakes told The Associated Press.
