Police say 16 people were shot, two of them fatally, in three separate attacks in a two-mile radius in east Baltimore Sunday night.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says detectives are searching for a gunman who opened fire at a backyard cookout, wounding 12 people.

None of the dozen victims suffered life-threatening injuries. Guglielmi says the victims were hit in the legs, arms, shoulders and backs. The wounded included a 2-year-old girl and a pregnant 23-year-old woman.

In a separate incident Sunday night, two 19-year-old men were shot and killed. The victims have been identified as Gary Martin and Darien Jones. Police have no suspects.

A third shooting left two men with non-life-threatening wounds.
