Serena and Venus Win U.S. Open Doubles Title

Serena Williams gave tennis-watchers something else to talk about Monday other than her embarrassing temper tantrum at center court, hooking up with sister Venus to spank defending U.S. Open champs Cara Black and Liezel Huber, 6-2, 6-2. It was the Williamses 10th Grand Slam doubles championship.

Shortly before the match, Serena delivered another apology for the profane tongue lashing she gave during her defeat to Kim Clijsters, for which was fined more than $10,000. She’s “a woman of great pride, faith and integrity, and I admit when I'm wrong," she said. She and her older sister will split a $420,000 for their first U.S. Open title since 1999.

I'd like to thank the fans for supporting me through everything," she said to applause from a few thousand fans at Arthur Ashe Stadium. "I really, really love you guys and never want to have a bad image for you guys.
