Ludacris Foundation Honorees Include Maxine Waters, Debra Lee and Quincy Jones

The annual Ludacris Foundation Benefit Dinner will be held Saturday, October 24 in Washington when Howard University's Homecoming weekend takes over the nation's capital.

This year’s special honoree will be Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), who will receive the foundation’s Congressional Leadership Award.       

The foundation will also honor other leaders with a track record of giving back in their communities, including BET CEO Debra Lee, Quincy Jones and others.

Chris “Ludacris” Bridges will host the event with the help of comedian Joe Clair.

Other celebrity guests expected to attend include Russell Simmons, Bob Johnson, LA Reid, Common, Usain Bolt, Cathy Hughes, Jeff Johnson, Clinton Portis, Taraji Henson, Hill Harper, Michael Eric Dyson, Cynne Simpson, Raheem DeVaughn, DJ Nice, Gabrielle Union, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning, Big Tigger and D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, according to a foundation press release.

This is the sixth year the organization has held the event.
