The 21-year-old Florida man who said he wanted to shoot President Obama the day after the election will spend the next three years in prison.
On Nov. 5, Nathan Wine sent an e-mail to the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, promising that the “blood of Obama will run down the streets.” At the time, he said it would be worth going to prison for.
He could have been sentenced to five years. In his death threat – which displayed his poor grammar in addition to his disdain for Obama – Wine wrote, that he would "not mind going behind bars for being a trigger man on this tyrant."
"I will not rest until this tyrant of America is gunned down," he said. "The blood of Obama will run down the streets of D.C."
A federal grand jury indicted Wine in January after he surrendered to local authorities on a gun-stealing warrant
