WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama spent Friday evening taking in one of his daughter's recitals.
He was joined by first lady Michelle Obama — who had been in Mississippi earlier in the day to christen a ship.
The White House did not provide any other details about the evening activity, including which daughter was performing. The first couple have two daughters — Malia, 12, and Sasha, 9.
The Obamas spent about an hour and a half at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in northwest Washington.
Onlookers at a nearby pool cheered and took pictures as the first couple left the performance.
