Wrongful Death - The wrongful-death lawsuit by the family of Notorious B.I.G. is being reinstated. After the original decision to dismiss the case, the family appealed and the judge in the case changed her mind after finding that federal claims connected to the case can go forward. The family now has 20 days to file a new lawsuit and drop the state charges. Biggie was gunned down March 9th, 1997, while leaving a party at a Los Angeles museum. He was 24.

Sentenced - There was a lot of emotion in the courthouse as Remy Ma got word that she could be spending the next eight years in prison for shooting her friend. Most of the reaction came from her fiance, rapper Papoose. He was heard screaming in a hallway outside the courtroom: "All you want is money!" to the shooting victim.

No Prom - A hot prom dress – or a hot prom mess? One Texas senior never made it inside her prom because school official said her dress was inappropriate. Luda's Mural - Rapper Ludacris now has a mural of his face painted on his former high school in Atlanta.  The mural at Banneker High School shows him looking over the words "Gym of Dreams."  The same high school restricted him from returning four years ago. The school's principal says his predecessor kept Ludacris from appearing at the school because of the attention he was getting. But the new principal decided to invite him back as a spokesman against violence.

Drowning In Disaster - DMX appears to be drowning in disaster.  In addition to his legal woes, the rapper's five-bedroom, Arizona home is facing foreclosure.  The home, which is on the market for $429,000, should be worth nearly $650,000. But because it hasn't been properly cared for and was further damaged after a SWAT Team raid last May, it will sell for nearly $200,000 less.

Dog Abuser? - The Humane Society of the United States is giving major props to the authorities for busting DMX on animal cruelty. The group claims the rapper has a history of cruelty to animals that dates back almost a decade. The group also hits the rapper for featuring images of snarling pit bulls on his album covers and mentioning dogfighting in his lyrics.

Back, on a New Day - Chris Rock's TV sitcom will be returning next season. But you might have to reprogram your DVR to find it. The CW says "Everybody Hates Chris" will return, but on a new night. It will air on Fridays. That makes three different nights on the schedule in its three years on the air. "The Game" will also return next year, and will air after "Chris" on Fridays.

Blige Not Surprised - Mary J. Blige isn't surprised that Whitney Houston's comeback CD is a hit. Blige says Houston is "too strong, even in her weakness, to fold." Blige says Houston's story of redemption is going to "move multitudes of people." She says Houston "went through what she went through to come back and save lives."

Supporting Women - The “Queen of Hip Hop” is inspiring women to succeed. Mary J. Blige has set up a foundation to help women develop careers and gain self-confidence. She co-founded an organization called the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now. The effort will be launched with a program for Yonkers, N.Y., the New York City suburb where she grew up.

Time Off - Toni Braxton won't be returning to work on the Las Vegas strip any time soon.  Harrah's Entertainment says Braxton won't return to her gig at the Flamingo hotel until June 6. Braxton hasn't worked since she was hospitalized overnight for chest pains on April 7. No one has said what was causing the medical problem. Braxton, 40, has been treated in the past for pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart. Braxton is scheduled to complete a two-year run at the Flamingo in August.
