Paterson Speaks - On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” embattled New York Gov. David Paterson responded to reports that the White House had asked him not to seek re-election next year. “I’ve never gotten an explicit indication authorized from the White House that I shouldn’t run.” But later in the interview he did say that the White House had expressed some concern. That won’t stop Paterson, though. “I am running for governor in 2010. I don’t think that this is an issue other than for the people of New York to decide.”

Blind Rage - New York Gov. David Paterson isn't p*ssed about a "Saturday Night Live" skit that poked fun at him being blind. While Paterson can take a joke, a spokeswoman for him said “SNL” went too far. The National Federation of the Blind called the portrayal "absolutely wrong."

A.I. Won’t Give Back? - American Idol giveth. American Idol taketh back? After two years of doing its "Idol Gives Back" charity show, there's word that the effort won't be returning in the show’s upcoming season. A spokeswoman for the network had no comment. The new season of Idol begins Jan. 20.
