Correspondents’ Dinner - After his speech in Michigan, the president returned to D.C. where he and First Lady Michelle Obama attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. Per tradition, the president did a little comedy routine. “I saw Michael Steele backstage when we were taking pictures – AKA Notorious GOP,” Obama said as the crowd laughed. Former presidential candidate John McCain was also a joke target.

Obama will host a dinner for the Business Council in the State Dining Room later that evening.

Business Council Meeting - The president will address the Business Council’s annual meeting on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. During his remarks, he’ll talk about what his administration is doing to push job creation and the role that the business community plays.
