NFL Commish Urges Concussion Law - NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent a letter to 44 governors urging them to pass a law that would protect young athletes from concussions. The law would educate athletes, parents and coaches on the dangers of concussions and they would have to be cleared by a licensed health care professional before returning to play.

Jose Lima Dead At 37 - Former Major League pitcher Jose Lima died Sunday morning at his home in Pasadena, Calif. after going into full cardiac arrest. Dirk To Opt Out - Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki will opt out of his contract and become a free agent according to a source. The Mavericks are still negotiating with Nowitzki.
