Mayweather Not Rushing For Pacquiao - After a deadline passed in order to secure a fight with Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather explained that he’s in no rush to sign a deal. "I'm not interested in rushing to do anything," Mayweather told The Associated Press. If Mayweather can’t reach a deal, expect Pacquiao to fight on Nov. 13 against a yet to be named opponent.

Oosthuizen Wins British Open - On Nelson Mandela’s 92nd birthday, South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen won the British Open at St. Andrews by seven strokes. It was the largest margin of victory at the British Open since Tiger Woods' victory in 2000 by eight strokes.

Dean Smith Suffering Memory Loss - Legendary University of North Carolina head coach Dean Smith is suffering from memory loss. His condition was described as "progressive neurocognitive disorder that affects his memory." Smith has had a knee replacement and a repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm in the last three years as well.

D-Wade Ready For Backlash - Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade is preparing for the backlash around his team when the 2010-11 season starts. “You all are going to make it seem like the World Trade is coming down again, but it's not going to be nothing but a couple basketball games,” Wade said at his sold-out Summer Groove Charity Game Sunday at American Airlines Arena.

Jolly Suspended For 2010 Season - Green Bay Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly was suspended for the entire 2010 NFL season for violating the league’s drug policy. The 27-year-old is facing charges for a July 2008 arrest outside a Houston club in which he was found illegally possessing at least 200 grams of codeine. He’s eligible for reinstatement following the Super Bowl.

NBA Summer League Wraps Up - The NBA Summer League wrapped up on Sunday in Las Vegas with Washington Wizards rookie John Wall stealing the show. Wall led all players in points (23.5) and assists (7.8). After racking up 16 turnovers in his first two games, Wall had just five in his last two.

Robinson Returns To Boston - The Boston Celtics have resigned Nate Robinson to a two-year deal worth just over $4 million. The Celtics acquired Robinson from the New York Knicks during a trade last season and he had several key games for Boston during their playoff run.

Henry Arrives To The MLS - Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry arrived to the United States on Thursday to join the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer. The 32-year-old is the biggest star to join the MLS since David Beckham’s arrival to the Los Angeles Galaxy. Henry makes his debut on Thursday against the Tottenham Hotspur.

Tiger Struggles At British Open - Tiger Woods' struggles continued at the British Open, finishing tied for 23rd after an opening round where he shot five-under. Woods had back-to-back rounds of 73 and shot 72 on Sunday to finish three-under for the tournament.
