Occupy Wall Street sparked a protest movement that has taken root in cities across the country and abroad.  Here are some of the triumphs and confrontations that occurred this year.

While Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said at first that he was onboard with Occupy Atlanta protesters, the group would be eventually evicted from a downtown park on Oct. 26, resulting in 52 arrests.  In early November, Occupy protesters received a boost of support from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, a group linked to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the Montgomery Bus Boycott
