A bloody pig’s foot was mailed Monday to New York Republican Rep. Peter King’s office. Enclosed in the package was a letter containing anti-Semitic ramblings, according to reports.

The packaged was intercepted at the Congressional mail facility in Maryland where all mail sent to lawmakers is screened. The U.S. Capitol Police and U.S. Postal Service are investigating the incident.

Just last month, King held controversial hearings on the radicalization of Muslims in America. In the past he has alleged that 80 percent of mosques in this country are controlled by “radical imams” and downplayed discrimination against Muslim-Americans following the Sept. 11 attacks.

Along with the severed foot was a note that referenced Mohammed and said that all babies in America would be named Mohammed, reports the Huffington Post.
