Hermain Cain New Video

GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain released a music video Tuesday that extols the qualities that he and his supporters say are the reason he would make a great president and paints a picture of the Tea Party as inclusive and definitely not racist. The video features both black and white conservative supporters and Cain says he was speaking at Tea Party rallies “before it was cool.”

“The Herman Cain Train” tells the story of the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO’s humble beginnings as a son of the South "who was raised the American way.” It includes early photographs of the candidate and his family. Country music singer Gary Eaton, who performs the song on the video, encourages listeners to “get on board the Herman Cain train.”

An African-American woman who appears in the video says that the Tea Party doesn’t care about skin color.

“When people ask me about the Tea Party, they ask me if it’s about color, and I say ‘yes it is, it’s about red, white and blue,’” she says.

Cain, who has no real political experience aside from a failed Senate bid in 2004 or the fundraising prowess that others in the race for the GOP presidential nomination possess, is nonetheless turning out to be a bit of a star on the campaign trail. He was proclaimed the winner of the party’s first primary debate last month and last week polled higher than candidates deemed less of a long shot than he is, such as former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. As one man in the video says, he may not be able to raise a billion dollars like President Obama, but his supporters are going to raise some Cain.

“My great, great grandparents were slaves, and now I’m running for president of the United States of America,” Cain says in the video. “Is this a great country or what?”
