Obama Declared “Fit for Duty”

President Obama's medical examination shows him in better health than ever, despite the stresses of his job.

Despite the graying of his hair and the stress of a re-election campaign in a terrible economy, the results of President Obama’s second physical examination since taking office show that he is in better health than ever.

"The president is in excellent health and 'fit for duty,'" said Dr. Jeffrey C. Kuhlman, who performed the examination. "All clinical data indicate he will remain so for the duration of his presidency."

In fact, since his last physical in February 2010, the president appears to have stopped smoking completely and lowered his cholesterol from 209 to 193. His blood pressure, while in normal range, is slightly higher, at 107 over 71, up from 105 over 62 in February 2010.

Obama, who turned 50 in August, is very physically active and weighs 181, just one pound more than he did when he took office in 2009.
