Allen West Blames Obama for Suicide Bombing in Afghanistan

Allen West says the suicide bombing in Kabul was the Taliban's response to Obama's trip to Afghanistan.

Rep. Allen West never has a kind word to say about President Obama, and today’s no different. In a morning tweet, he linked the suicide bombing in the Afghan capital of Kabul to the president’s surprise visit to the country to mark the anniversary of Osama Bin Laden’s death.

"Pres flew into Afghanistan at night for 7 hrs," West wrote. "As sun came up, Taliban gave its response 2 his Chamberlain like actions."

In a Facebook posting following Obama’s address to the nation from Afghanistan, the Florida lawmaker said the president doesn’t understand the Taliban’s nature or motivation and that he will soon travel to Afghanistan “to assess the mission and future.” He added that the U.S. should forget nation building and make its objective to “destroy radical Islamists wherever they exist.”

West also used Facebook to rip into the president for attending the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner last weekend.

"While the president laughs and dines, our Constitutional Republic is eroding and my countrymen are suffering. In this election year, it is sad to think that some of those who were sitting in that ballroom Saturday night laughing and living it up, are helping to perpetuate the manipulation and deception of our country," West wrote.

That would be the same Allen West whom The Huffington Post spotted at that very dinner signing a baseball and other items for people who’d come to the hotel where the event was held to stargaze.
