The Fox News contributor says Americans re-elected Obama based on popularity, not facts.
Herman Cain, failed Republican presidential candidate turned Fox News contributor, attributes President Obama's successful re-election bid to the nation's "severe ignorance problem." He also says that Americans were misled into voting for him because they were so mesmerized by his popularity and didn't consider the facts.
"Martin Luther King Jr. said 50 years ago in 1963 something that is so appropriate today," Cain said during an appearance on The O'Reilly Factor Tuesday night. "There is nothing more dangerous than serious ignorance and that's what we have and [Obama] gets away with it with the help of establishment media."
But, as he told host Bill O'Reilly, Cain has not lost hope.
"I still have faith, Bill, in enough people that can wake up and get out of the ignorance zone and we then be able to elect the right kind of people going forward," he said.
