Former Florida congressman Allen West is now part of the Fox News team. Since losing his bid for re-election last year, West has been hosting a show for the conservative website Pajamas Media.

“Rep. West’s congressional and military experience along with his fearless approach to voicing key issues will provide a valuable point of view to the Fox News lineup,” Fox News vice president Bill Shine said in a statement to the Washington Post.

West is the third ex-lawmaker to join the network. Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts ) and Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) also are contributors.
