The president's daughter is a production assistant for the CBS sci-fi production.
This year is turning out to be full of milestones for Malia Obama. The eldest first daughter, whose 16th birthday is just a few weeks away, has joined the workforce. According to The Wrap, Malia is working as a production assistant on the set of Extant, a CBS sci-fi thriller starring Halle Berry and produced by Steven Spielberg.
A source told The Wrap that she “helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take,” to which a delighted Malia responded, “My first time. This is a big deal.”
Malia, who recently attended her first prom, will experience another important first this year when she starts learning how to drive. First Lady Michelle Obama last month put the city on notice in an interview on Access Hollywood.
"Look out," she quipped.
And in the fall, Malia will begin a process her parents are anticipating with bittersweet hearts: SATs and college tours.
