Claim: "More Americans have lost their jobs under Barack Obama than any president in modern history," Romney said in a Jan. 16 tweet.

Fact-check: The truth-o-meter rates this claim “mostly false.” It would be true if one counts from every president’s first day in office to his last, he’s the only one since World War II to preside over a net job loss. But if the measurement is each president from one year into his term to one year after, which also would show how his policies impacted the economy, Obama shifts into positive territory while George W. Bush’s term falls into negative territory, PolitiFact states.
