Claim: Obama "gave the [auto] companies to the UAW [union]," in the auto industry bailout, Romney said at the Feb. 22 primary debate in Arizona.

Fact-check: The trust that manages retirees’ health care owns stock in Chrysler and General Motors but the union does not. In addition, the trust is independent from the United Auto Workers, is not a majority shareholder in either company and does not have a vote on the board, PolitiFact reports. The claim is false.
