Vivian Malone Jones

Vivian Malone Jones was one of two students who defied Alabama Gov. George Wallace to enroll in the University of Alabama. After earning a degree in business management, she went to work in the civil rights division at the Justice Department. In 1996, she was the inaugural recipient of the George Wallace Family Foundation's Lurleen B. Wallace Award of Courage.
