If an immigration bill ever makes its way from the Senate to the House, Congressional Black Caucus members are insisting that it include a diversity visa program that currently exists to help ensure pathways to the U.S. for Black immigrants. If the program or something comparable isn't in the bill, "the Black caucus is not going to support it," CBC chairwoman Rep. Marcia Fudge in a recent radio interview. "I can guarantee you they need our votes."
