Bush Did it First

In 2006, USA Today reported that NSA was "secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth." But, back then it was done illegally, which President George W. Bush defended, saying it saved American lives.
