Knock It Off - With just a few days left before the government could shutdown because of a budget impasse between Obama and congressional Republicans, the president issued a warning about the real effects of such a move. "To any Republican in Congress who's currently watching, I'd encourage you to think about who you're hurting," said the president. Cruzing Out of Control - Using a procedure known as the filibuster, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz pulled an all-nighter on the Senate floor to rail against Obamacare. It was part of his effort to prevent the chamber from restoring funding for the health care law in a short-term spending bill passed by the House. Many Republicans are mortified by Cruz's actions; Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in a tweet called it a "big waste of time." (Photo: Mark Wilson/Getty Images)

Enough to Go Around - If the government shuts down on Oct. 1 because Republicans can't agree on a budget, the blame will be almost equally divided. According to a Pew Research survey 39 percent say they would blame Republicans, while 36 percent would point the finger at Obama. (Photos: Mark Wilson/Getty Images)
